Yousefi M et al. – Age mean and standard deviation of the patients was comparable to the controls. Mean level of uric acid was significantly lower in pemphigus vulgaris(PV) patients compared to the controls. Uric acid as an antioxidant in this study had similar changes to previous studies in the field of other diseases but selenium, bilirubin, and glutathione peroxidase did not differ between patients and controls.
