Comparison of clobetasol propionate cream plus coal tar vs. topical psoralen and solar ultraviolet A therapy in palmoplantar psoriasis
Clinical and Experimental Dermatology, 04/22/2011Khandpur S et al.
Of the 52 patients, 43 completed the treatment phase. Improvement or cure in palmar lesions was observed in 90% of cases in the topical steroid/coal–tar group and in 75% of cases in the topical topical psoralen and solar ultraviolet A group; for the soles, these figures were 76% and 79%, respectively. Both treatments had comparable efficacy. In both groups, patients experienced ‘good improvement’ after 16 weeks of therapy.
