Turkoglu O et al. – The results suggest a defensive role for adrenomedullin during the host response in periodontal disease. Additionally, it might be suggested that the lack of HNP1–3 antimicrobial peptide point to the deficiency of one of the protective mechanism for periodontal tissues.
