Journal of Oral Rehabilitation, 10/28/09
Leles CR et al. – Overall agreement between observed patients' decisions and those predicted by the discriminant function was >90% for all treatments. Reasons vary greatly among patients, and the role of individual perception of potential reasons for treatment selection was the most important determinants of patients' decisions. The main reasons for choosing or refusing treatments focused in this study can be used to guide shared decision–making, providing treatments that better match patients' expectations and desires.
