Gaengler P et al. – Aim of this in–vitro–study was to assess the remineralization potential of a tooth cleaning tablet with different fluoride content. Based on the results the novel Denttabs(R) formulation represents a highly effective oral hygiene product and the remineralization is correlated to the fluoride content.

Exclusive Author Commentary
Peter Gaengler, 10/13/09

It was the idea to look for an alternative to dentifrices, to increase the bioavailability of fluoride in the oral environment, to solve the formulated tablets directly in the most powerful remineralization solution, the saliva itself, and finally to avoid abrasives and additives by replacing with microcrystaline cellulose as the polishing agent. Based on clinical research outcomes concerning effective plaque control, the present article documents the in vitro dose - dependend remineralization of caries - like enamel lesions due to the increased bioavailability of fluoride (www.denttabs.com).
