Factors influencing the presence of the interproximal dental papilla between maxillary anterior teeth

Chen M–C et al. – The presence of interdental papillae in the maxillary anterior region plays a key esthetic role. The aims of this study were to investigate the impacts of demographic variables, such as gender and ages, and radiographical measurements of interdental area anatomy on the presence of the interdental papilla. In the anterior maxillary region, the shorter the distance between the contact point to bone crest the more likely the interdental papilla is present.
