Temporary orthodontic anchorage devices for improving occlusion
Orthodontics & Craniofacial Research, 07/14/09
Rossouw PE et al. - Absolute skeletal anchorage is a reality with MI use and can be used for successful orthodontic outcomes in the correction of Class II bimaxillary protrusion malocclusions to ideal Class I occlusions. Moreover, meticulous care has been shown to be essential with treatment planning and during placement of MI. Significant and extensive damage can occur with poor placement while healing is possible following minor trauma.
