Liu YH et al. - Mini-screw implants provide absolute anchorage in vertical and sagittal directions. Better dental, skeletal and soft tissue changes could be achieved by mini-screw implants especially in hyperdivergent patients. Skeletal anchorage should be routinely recommended in patients with bialveolar dental protrusion.

This is a paper concerning on the different anchorage effects between mini-screw implants and transpalatal arches. It tells us that mini-screw implants can provide absolute anchorage in adult patients with bialveolar dental protrusion. Therefore, it should be routinely recommended in clinical practice for adult patients with bialveolar dental protrusion.
