Fischer J et al. - Air-borne particle abrasion significantly increases metal–ceramic bond strength. Thermal cycling of metal–ceramic composites results in an exponential decrease of bond strength. The crack initiation test is a sensitive method for assessing the metal–ceramic bond strength.
