Tomas I et al. - Epifluorescence microscopy permits evaluating the antimicrobial activity of CHX on the salivary flora in real-time. Fluorescence assays could be particularly useful to analyse simultaneously the effect of antimicrobials that alter the cytoplasmic membrane integrity on different oral ecosystems.
