Mast Cells Act as Phagocytes Against the Periodontopathogen Aggregatibacter Actinomycetemcomitans
Journal of Periodontology, 05/08/2012Lima HG et al.

The results may indicate that mast cells act as professional phagocytes in the pathogenesis of biofilm–associated periodontal disease.
