Parrish L et al. - The present two case reports illustrate the use of the antibiotic azithromycin in the treatment of chronic periodontitis that persisted after scaling and root planing. The data demonstrated improvements in the signs of periodontal inflammation, and these improvements remained during several cycles of maintenance.
