Dhawan SS et al. – In patients with non–obstructive CAD, coronary microvascular dysfunction is associated with higher serum high–sensitivity C–reactive protein and is an independent predictor of more thin–cap fibroatheroma (TCFA), a marker for increased epicardial plaque vulnerability.
