Blood pressure variables and prevalent electrocardiographic left ventricular hypertrophy in sub-Saharan African individuals with type 2 diabetes

Dzudie A et al. – Pulse pressure and systolic blood pressure were the best predictors of prevalent left ventricular hypertrophy in this population, while diastolic blood pressure was the less effective predictor. These findings have implications for cardiovascular risk stratification and monitoring of risk reducing therapies.
