Lack of an association between E-selectin gene polymorphisms and the risk of Kawasaki disease

Shirakawa T et al. – Although they failed to detect any association between these E–selectin gene (SELE) polymorphisms and the prevalence of Kawasaki disease (KD) or the development of CAL, these study had limitations including a low frequency of the minor alleles and a small sample size.
