Effect of phenylephrine and ephedrine bolus treatment on cerebral oxygenation in anaesthetized patients British Journal of Anesthesia, 06/06/2011

Meng L et al. – Associated with changes in CO, cerebral tissue oxygen saturation decreased after phenylephrine treatment, but remained unchanged after ephedrine treatment. The significant correlation between CO and cerebral tissue oxygen saturation implies a cause–effect relationship between global and regional haemodynamics.
