Shroff PP et al. – The ACCUFLOW, a new innovative drip alert device would be useful to adjust and monitor the infusion flow rate in surgical patients’ peri–operatively, thereby reducing the burden on the personnel. Additionally, it is easy to use, is reusable, portable and has a battery backup. Unlike the infusion pumps it does not require specialized training of the operator and have lower acquisition costs. ACCUFLOW could be an attractive option for fluid monitoring in developing countries and smaller centers with limited healthcare resources.
