Hogg RMG et al. – The duration of action of NMBAs demonstrates profound variation and is influenced by a number of factors including age, temperature, pre–existing comorbidities and anaesthetic technique. It is for this reason that routine monitoring and reversal of neuromuscular block is advocated.
