Reversal of Neuromuscular Blockade: Current Concepts & Future Developments
Journal of Anaesthesiology Clinical Pharmacology, 10/12/09
Hogg RMG et al. – The duration of action of NMBAs demonstrates profound variation and is influenced by a number of factors including age, temperature, pre–existing comorbidities and anaesthetic technique. It is for this reason that routine monitoring and reversal of neuromuscular block is advocated. The traditional method of reversal of neuromuscular block involves the administration of acetylcholinesterase inhibitors.
