Thix CA et al. – Cytoreductive surgery with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) is used for selected gastrointestinal carcinomas. The authors report a case of ventricular tachycardia during HIPEC with cisplatin that persisted as long as the chemotherapy solution remained in the intra–abdominal cavity.
