Serrano–Gomez A et al. – ACEIs and beta–blockers slow the progression of chronic HF and reduce mortality. Ischaemic heart disease is managed with nitrates, beta–blockers, ACEIs, statins and anti–platelet drugs. In the acute coronary syndrome, thrombolytic agents are still used.
