Fasciolo A et al. - The study confirms how a single-shot peripheral nerve block with local anaesthetics in a given dose is considered as a safe technique free from specific complications. This technique is a valid support to the performance of intravenous analgesia, within the current framework where multimodal analgesia is very efficient and widespread. In addition, effective pain management is a fundamental component in determining patients’ satisfaction; since patients are assuming increasing importance within the health care system, it is vital to provide high quality services in order to achieve an effective clinical and business management.
