Kay-Warrell M et al. - Septic shock continues to be a common disease requiring admission to intensive care. Along with its high incidence of mortality and morbidity, the prevalence of the condition has been reported to be rising. As has been discussed previously, patients with septic shock may have a relative adrenocortical insufficiency and it been felt logical for these deficits to be replaced.
