Fountain FF et al. - Rifampin hepatotoxicity associated with treatment of latent tuberculosis infection is rare. The report suggests that hepatotoxicity is more likely in patients with baseline hepatic dysfunction and the need for increased vigilance in monitoring transaminases in these patients.
