The successful use of peripheral nerve blocks for femoral amputation

Bech B et al. - Authors present a case report of four patients with severe cardiac insufficiency where peripheral nerve blocks guided by either nerve stimulation or ultrasonography were the sole anaesthetic for above-knee amputation. The patients were breathing spontaneously and remained haemodynamically stable during surgery.
