Koole D et al. – Smokers need more percutaneous transluminal angioplasty procedures and stents during endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR). They have fewer late type II endoleaks during follow–up; however, smokers should be closely monitored because they have an increased risk of stent graft migration.
