Little evidence that supports a causal link between most vaccines and Guillain-Barre syndrome
Drugs & Therapy Perspectives, 10/16/09
Immune stimulation appears to play a role in the pathogenesis of Guillain–Barre syndrome (GBS). It is, therefore, biologically plausible that immunizations may be associated with subsequent GBS. In a recent review of the current body of evidence, associations between vaccines and GBS were generally found to have been only temporal, with little evidence to support a causal association with most vaccines.
