Mikotajczyk TP et al. – Lipopolysaccharide–activated subpopulations of monocytes while in contact with apoptotic cells produce more anti–inflammatory cytokine interleukin–10 whereas the production of pro–inflammatory cytokines, tumour necrosis factor–alpha and interleukin–1 beta is reduced.
