Taggar JS et al. – The authors described a patient presenting with acute myocardial infarction after sustaining a hymenoptera (bee) sting. Cardiac catheterisation confirmed significant intra–coronary thrombosis in the left anterior descending artery with minimal underlying plaque disease. A unifying diagnosis of Kounis syndrome secondary to hymenoptera envenomation was made.
