Torkildsen GL et al. - Desloratadine was significantly more effective than placebo in preventing post-challenge ocular pruritus. Significant improvements post-challenge were also seen in ciliary and episcleral redness, chemosis, eyelid swelling, and tearing. Desloratadine was well tolerated.
