Allergic diseases affect hundreds-of-millions of people throughout the world, and the prevalence is increasing, impacting the public health of all nations. Ongoing research provides new information that can be applied to the daily practice of medicine. That is why every two years, the WAC is the most exciting international congress gathering of allergists and other related specialties from all over the world. The World Allergy Organization (WAO) is the only real global allergy society, encompassing over 70 member societies from throughout the world. Founded in 1950, WAO offers more than 50 years of experience in working with allergists and allergy regional and national societies worldwide. In this way, the WAC is some kind of "United Nations Allergy Assembly".
The Argentinean Association of Allergy and Clinical Immunology is a WAO national member society over the last 50 years and is pleased to host the WAO 2009 Buenos Aires Congress. Argentina is a breathtaking country with a diverse landscape and heritage. Buenos Aires is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and hosts many international conferences. Hotels, restaurants, transportation and a beautiful and comfortable convention center will be the site of this meeting.
