Gastric Band Placement for Obesity is Not Associated With Increased Urinary Risk of Urolithiasis Compared to Bypass
The Journal of Urology, 10/19/09

Those with gastric banding placement had low urine volumes. Future studies should elucidate the effect of nutrition and/or pharmacological therapy on stone risk of both surgeries as their incidence increases.
