Sokka T et al. - Modern therapy for rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is currently based on the severity of the disease. RA patients are approached with an early treatment strategies with methotrexate, and biological targeted therapies in those with inadequate response to methotrexate. This chapter presents a rationale for current treatment strategies for RA with antirheumatic drugs.
