Schmitt J et al. – A review article reports that findings support atrial fibrillation (AF) complicating acute myocardial infarction (AMI) not only increases ischemic stroke risk during hospitalization but also during follow-up. These findings are also true for transient AF that has reversed back to sinus rhythm at time of discharge.
