CDDW and the Annual CASL Winter Meeting is the annual scientific conference of the Canadian Association of Gastroenterology (CAG) and the Canadian Association for the Study of the Liver (CASL), held each winter (end of February/early March) at a Canadian venue. The core conference program offers both clinical and basic science sessions, including the trademark events noted below.
Richard D McKenna Memorial Lecture – Named after the founder of the Association, this prestigious lecture serves as the traditional kick-off to CDDW and features an international leader in the area.
Postgraduate Course: Advances in Gastroenterology and Hepatology – Intended to bring clinicians up-to-date with advancements in selected areas.
Symposia address a variety of basic and clinical science topics.
Breakfast with the Experts & Small Group Sessions: Offer interactive time with leaders in the field in a small group learning format.
Research Excellence & Young Investigator Award Lectures: Honours – respectively - an outstanding Canadian researcher, and basic or clinical science contributions to gastroenterology from a younger Association member (under 45 years of age or within seven years of first academic appointment). |
