Dental Materials, 07/22/08
Wang Y et al. - Reinforced and unmodified-unreinforced GICs were indistinguishable by failure load and mode. Failure loads for resin-modified GICs were 360–1150 N, amalgam 680 N, and filled resin 1200 N. Resin-modified GICs tended to be tougher, all others gave complete fracture. The stronger materials showed some cone cracking.
