The majority of junior doctors training jobs in England have been filled despite problems with the new online system, the government says. The old CV-based method was replaced by the computerised Medical Training Application Service. The Department of Health said in the first round of job appointments 85% of training posts have been filled. It leaves just over 2,000 posts to be filled in the second round - much less than many critics predicted
